Brief Description
This person interacts with existing customers, primarily by phone and email, to increase sales of the company's products and/or services by obtaining and up-selling orders, creating customer satisfaction and adding value to the customer's buying experience. Collaborates with outside sales to ensure goals are being met. Likely owns a book of accounts.


Detailed Description
We are looking for a qualified individual to work at our ever expanding Kitimat location.
Duties may include:
• Obtains orders through email and telephone calls, verifies and enters items, transfers orders to fulfillment, explains stock-outs and expected delivery dates.
• Collaborates with outside sales to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Increases orders by suggesting related items, explains features, and checks customer’s buying history.
• Owns, qualifies and develops opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.
• Keeps abreast of new products. • Identifies ways for continuous improvement of processes.
• Prepares, generates, and follows up on verbal or written quotations to secure orders, or determine reason for loss of order.
• Reviews open customer order reports and takes action on open items, including those items that may be at risk in meeting customer’s promised delivery date.
• Maintains distribution system backorder report, associated customer expediting report and notices, and customer notification.
• Increases sales and margins to existing and new customers.
• Resolves customer problems.
• Identifies buying influences.
• Develops long-term relationship and influences buying decisions.
• Provides quotations either directly or in conjunction with sales team.
• Demonstrates products and services to customers.
• Completes local safety orientation and training courses.
• Handles incoming shipments.
• Performs verification of supplier inbound, customer returns, branch returns, and enters order receipts into computer and RF systems
• Performs quality assurance inspections.
• Places received material, after segregating backorders, into proper warehouse storage locations. When appropriate, relocates and consolidates material and notifies management of new bon/table locations.
• Utilizes available computer and RF equipment to stage and put away inbound material.
• Fills out logs sheets for inbound overages, shortages, damages or non-compliant material.
• Assists in packing, labeling, wrapping and loading outbound trucks.
• Maintains appropriate forms and records pending return of material.
• Assists with warehouse activities as instructed by supervisor or manager.
Job Requirements
Experience
Warehouse operations – 3 years preferred
Customer Service Experience- 3 Years preferred

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Possession of A Valid Drivers’ License Required

Working Environment:
· Driver – Work is generally performed in moving vehicle. Driving required for an extended period of time with frequent stops and starts. Can be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
· General Office – Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
· Inside Sales – Work is generally performed in an office environment, but employee may need to travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities. Driving may be required for an extended period of time with frequent stops and starts. Can be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
· Warehouse – Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment. The noise level is moderately quiet. Generally well ventilated and well lighted. Warehouse employees may be exposed to all kinds of weather and may be required to wear protective clothing. Operates heavy equipment. Strict safety regulations may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
. Work is physically strenuous and workers are required to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds.
· Work may require excessive bending or stooping.
. Employee may be required to walk long distances repeatedly throughout the day.
· Employee may be required to sit and drive a vehicle to perform their job.
· Employee may be required to climb ladders.
. Employee may be required to use hand tools.
· Employee may be required to operate heavy machinery (e.g., forklift, etc.).
