Brief Description

The function of Inside Sales Associate is to work closely with the Outside sales rep, seek new sales opportunities for existing and potential customers. S/he will interact with clients to uncover their emotional, strategic, tactical goals, and the problems hindering their attainment. S/he will provide an appropriate safety solution to satisfy their requirements. S/he is required to focus on maximizing margin sales, and developing new business with existing and potential clients. S/he is responsible for maintaining a positive and constructive relationship with clients and internal staff to meet sales objectives. 

 

Detailed Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
  • Executes branch business plan and sales strategy to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability
  • Strategically partner with selected suppliers to ensure achievement of mutual growth plans
  • Work collectively with outside sales partner through effective communication
  • Maintain contact with clients in market area to ensure high level of client satisfaction
  • Required to provide input on product mix and stocking levels
  • Daily product solution research/quoting
  • Point of contact for all incoming calls and customer walk ins
  • Order entry, picking, and occasional packing of orders
  • Complete customer invoicing as necessary.
  • Update daily activity and opportunity pipeline in CRM – TDFSales
  • Follow the company sales methodology to successfully acquire new business through the use of CRM and the tools it offers.
  • Develop and present Proposals to the client and follow-up
  • Negotiate with decision makers to close deals that will maximize profitability for Hazmasters.
  • Identify additional product or service opportunities with existing or potential clients and determine, with the Sales Manager, whether Customer Sales & Service or outside sales should manage the opportunity.
  • Log all proposals / quotes to existing and potential customer and log in CRM
  • Remain current on industry trends, market activity and competitor products.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the customer service area and work station.
  • Maintain regular contact with existing clients, continually working to understand new or existing "pains"/needs and developing strategies to address those pains. 

 

 

Job Requirements

Education

  • High school diploma. 

Experience

  • Inside Sales background in the distribution industry
  • Creating new or significantly advancing sales channels.
  • Strong background in creative solution selling
  • Strong background in Customer Service
