Delivers internal and external training to our customers and staff using specific course outlines, materials, and equipment as designated by the Safety Consultant.

 

Detailed Description 

  • Trains students using a systematic plan of lectures, demonstrations, discussion groups, laboratory work, shop sessions, seminars, case studies, field assignments and independent or group projects and practical exercises
  • Prepares, administers and marks tests / papers as well as practical exercises to evaluate students' progress
  • Coordinates course logistics including but not limited to: books, handouts collateral material, samples, certificates, flights, hotels, car rentals, etc.
  • Supervises independent or group projects, field placements, work groups or hands-on training
  • May participate in preparation of budgets, curriculum revision, and course and diploma requirements
  • Establishes / maintains relationship with local regulatory bodies and provide updates to local management
  • Submits training documents and pictures to the Branch Administrative Assistant upon course completion
  • Liaises with the Senior Sales Associate and the Safety Consultant regarding training schedule
  • Refers all sales relating to equipment and service to the Senior Sales Associate/business development team to provide further information, or schedule training

Job Requirements 

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years Safety Training Experience
  • 2 years Experience in Adult Education

 

EDUCATION:

  • College Diploma preferred, High School Degree or Equivalent required
  • CRSP, CSC, CSO preferred

 

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to prepare, administer and mark tests/papers to evaluate student’s progress.
  • Evaluate the student’s practical abilities to perform the necessary safety tasks
  • Prepare teaching materials and course outlines
  • Use audio visual equipment
  • Ability to adapt to diverse groups and learning styles
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent planning and organization skills

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Outside Sales – Work is generally performed in an office environment, but employee may need to travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities.  Driving may be required for an extended period of time with frequent stops and starts.   Can be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.
  • Work is physically strenuous and workers are required to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds.
  • Work may require excessive bending or stooping.
  • Employee required to climb ladders.
  • Employee required to use hand tools.

 

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Employee required to organize and coordinate schedules.
  • Employee required to analyze and interpret complex data.
  • Employee required to calibrate precise measurements.
  • Employee required to problem-solve.
  • Employee required to communicate with the public.
