Franmar Blue Bear 690PB Lead Paint Remover

Franmar Blue Bear 690PB Lead Paint Remover

Franmar Blue Bear 690PB Lead Paint Remover (formerly Lead Out Paint Remover) is made from soybeans and features Franmar's proven paint removal technology combined with the patented Molecular Bonding System (MBS) to take the hazard out of removing and disposing of lead-based paint. This exciting formula reacts with the lead at the molecular level to convert the lead compounds to a non-hazardous waste which limits lead dust during lead paint removal and produces test results well below the EPA's lead safe limits. 690PB is low odour and biodegradable, meeting or exceeding ASTM standards. Coverage per square foot varies depending on type and age of coating, number of layers and method of application. Average coverage for horizontal applications is 125 square feet per gallon (max 200 square feet per gallon) and 75 square feet per gallon for vertical applications.

Mixing: Open 690PB Stabilizer Powder package and mix thoroughly with 690PB Lead Paint Remover Gel. Once mixed, the product will only work for 24 hours to convert lead particles in the paint.

Application: Apply a thick layer by brushing, pouring, or with commercial sprayer. Applying too thin will cause 690PB to dry out before removal is complete. Use a scraper to check if the coating is softened down to the surface. If not, wait longer and recheck. When the coating is completely softened, remove with a scraper. Collect the converted lead coating(s) in a suitable container for disposal.

Clean-Up: Use Blue Bear 700DG Degreaser or water and a scrub brush, mop, or power washer to clean remaining thin residue. Remove excess coating(s) and 690PB before using a power washer for final cleaning. Allow surface to dry before further preparations.
